ACCA-UK

ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is the global body for professional accountants which has more than 219,000 members world-wide and more than 527,000 students in more than 179 countries.

Syllabus: There are a total of 13 papers in ACCA however, candidates can get certain exemptions up to a maximum of 9 papers depending upon previous academic credentials.

Eligibility or ACCA entry requirements:

There is no formal requirement so students can join even after their grade 10, “O” Levels, “A” levels etc.

  • Management Accounting (MA) or F2
  • Financial Accounting (FA) or F3
Applied Skills:
  • Corporate and Business Law (LW) or F4
  • Performance Management (PM) or F5
  • Taxation (TX) or F6
  • Financial Reporting (FR) or F7
  • Audit & Assurance (AA) or F8
  • Financial Management (FM) or F9
Strategic Professional (Essentials):
  • Strategic Business Leader (SBL) or P1+P3
  • Strategic Business Reporting (SBR) or P2
Strategic Professional (Optional Papers, any 2 from below):
  • Advanced Financial Management (AFM) or P4
  • Advanced Performance Management (APM) or P5
  • Advanced Taxation (ATX) or P6
  • Advanced Audit & Assurance (AAA) or P7

 

BSc. Hons in Applied Accountancy from UK for ACCA students:

ACCA students have the option to get a BSc (Hons) in Applied Accounting degree from Oxford Brookes University, UK. After completion of the first nine modules i.e. F1-F9 and successfully completing the online ethics module, they can submit the research and analysis project to get the degree. MSc Accountancy from UK for ACCA students:

ACCA students have the option to gain a MSc Professional Accountancy degree from University of London, UK. After successful completion of the first 11 papers of ACCA they can elect to take two modules from the University of London (instead of taking the optional papers).  Thus, completing their ACCA and also getting a MSc degree.
